THE NEW SOUND

Born during the late '90s in South London, Dubstep is the fusion of 2-step garage, jungle, and dub into one bass-heavy atmospheric experience. Despite its evolution, dubstep's raw underground roots still pulse through the music scene worldwide. The New Sound is an exhibit that highlights that growth through the genre’s contemporary manifestations. Through graphic treatment, timelines, and panels dedicated to the the genre’s wave-makers, the exhibit exemplifies the genre’s constant focus on experimentation while honoring Dubstep’s rich history.
